  • In a separate bowl combine the sour cream and taco seasoning.
  • The next layer will maked them nice and creamy. However, I usually just plop them in to keep it simple. If you want them a little smoother you can stir them up first or even add a splash of milk or cream. You can really just take them out of the can and spread them on the bottom. ✱ Be sure to see the recipe card below for exact ingredients and instructions! If you don't like olives use some sliced green onions or more color or sprinkle cilantro on top.
  • Black olives (or you can sub in green onions) - I use chopped black olives most oftern, but sliced work really well too.
  • Tomatoes - Nice ripe and slightly firm Roma tomatoes are usually my go to, but use what you have on hand or in your garden.
  • I love sargento off the block cut sharp cheddar, but a mexican blend is delicious too.
  • Shredded cheese - I usually grab a bag to make it easy.
  • I usually go for a mild or medium so everyone can enjoy it. Use the heat factor your family or crowd enjoys.
  • Salsa - I use a thick and chunky salsa, but you can use homemage or fresh.
  • Guacamole - You can make it simple and buy a delicious prepared one or make it homemade for extra wow flavor!.
  • Sour cream mixed with taco seasoning - A carton of your favorite brand sour cream and a packet of taco seasoning and stir it together.
  • Refried beans - A simple canned refried bean works great for this dip.
  • I mean it's like it just calls out for those chips to take a dunk! Once you start you have to go back for seconds! I am pretty sure that is the law! The law of 7 layer dip!
